OUTSTANDING INVOICES:
We have implemented Education Queensland's Dunning debt management process to recover outstanding invoices. FINAL reminders for overdue invoices have been issued. Please contact our Business Manager, Ms Kristal Lewis, if you would like to discuss.
The Department of Education has launched a new QParents feature - "Announcements". This feature enables us to broadcast important messages to class, year level and whole of school parent groups. We encourage parents and carers to please turn on notifications for the QParents app so you do not miss any important messages. If you are having any issues accessing QParents please contact school administration.

The Department of Education allocates school staffing based on student enrolment numbers. Accurate information is essential to ensure effective workforce planning and to make sure we have the right number of teachers and support staff in place for the year ahead.
To assist us in planning for our 2026 classes, we ask that all families complete our enrolment survey by Friday, 5 September at 9:00pm. Your responses will help us prepare for a smooth and successful start to the school year.

Bulimba shines in Italian Competitions!
During Term 2, some Bulimba State School students showed courage and grit by challenging themselves to improve their Italian writing and speaking. They dedicated their time at school and at home, to hone their written and spoken Italian words and expressions to achieve their best and represent our school in regional and national competitions.
Our Year 6 Italian captain, Maxime B. was awarded with a Special Mention Certificate in the Years 5-6-7 category of the national 2025 Italian Education Awards, for his 300-word Italian essay titled “La migliore vacanza della mia vita” (The Best Vacation of my Life), based on his real-life travel with his family in Italy. Bravo, Maxime!
Some Year 5 and 6 Bulimba students also entered the 2025 LTQ Online Speech Contest by reciting a passage in Italian about themselves and their interests and making a video of their recital. They competed against students from other schools in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Congratulazioni to the following students who received certificates in their category:

Speech and Drama : Wednesday morning 7.30am in the hall
Very exciting opportunities for children who enjoy performing or for parents who wish for their child to gain confidence.
LTK has been running speech and drama classes at Bulimba for 25 years.
Preps and year ones are taken to their classroom at the end of the lesson.
We have two age appropriate classes running at the same time by qualified performing art teachers.
This year all children will participate in the show entitled – Heroes and Villains and will receive a headshot and a trophy.
