Farewell D Block
Over the Easter holidays we said goodbye to D Block. Over the years, D Block served many purposes - from providing daily play opportunities and quiet withdrawal spaces for children, to hosting clubs and celebrations and the collaboration of staff during meetings and trainings. As we prepared for its demolition, children and staff shared their favourite memories on the walls of D Block through messages and drawings, reflecting on all the wonderful experiences we had with the space. Keep an eye out for our new space in A Block which will be known as “The Hive”.
Mother’s Day Breakfast
We warmly invite all OSHC Mothers, grandmothers and significant others in our children’s lives to join us for a special breakfast on Monday 12th May in celebration of the love and care you bring every day. From 6:30am – 8am, come along and enjoy a delicious breakfast, spend some time with your child/ren before they start the school day, and connect with our wonderful OSHC community.
Please RSVP by Thursday 8th May by clicking here.
Expression of Interest – MF Martial Arts Term 3
Following a wonderful incursion facilitated by MF Martial Arts Carindale during the Easter holidays, we have an opportunity to run a weekly session on a Monday afternoon at after school care. Sessions will likely run from 3:30pm – 5pm depending on numbers and the cost will be $20 per child, per session ($240/term). Children must however be booked into after school care on a Monday to attend. You will also receive a 50% discount on registration at their school if you choose to enrol. This includes lifetime registration, covers insurance and a uniform.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please click here to fill out the expression of interest form.
Winter Vacation Care
After a fantastic Autumn Program, we are back in the planning process for the July holiday period. The children have given us many ideas to extend on, and we look forward to creating another great winter program. As always, your feedback is important. Please email oshcgeneral@bulimbass.eq.edu.au or click here to give us any ideas or suggestions or to enrol to be able to receive program and booking updates.
Channel 7 News Spotlight
As part of our EnviroMentoring incursion during the Easter Holidays, Bulimba OSHC was featured briefly on Channel 7 news. Children built their own terrariums and learned all about water cycles in a fun and engaging way. Click here to view the Channel 7 News Segment.
