Music News
Music education is a wonderful way for children to express themselves, build confidence, and have fun while learning. It helps develop important skills like listening, memory, and teamwork. Whether it’s singing, playing an instrument, or moving to the beat, music brings joy and creativity into the classroom—and helps young minds grow!
Winter Concert
We are looking forward to our ‘Winter Concert’ in week 9!
All music teachers will be in contact with their ensemble groups individually in the coming weeks to provide information on how the evening will run.
If your child is unable to attend this concert, please let your ensemble teacher know ASAP.

Next week is our Choral Fanfare excursion for the Junior and Senior Choirs!
Parents are welcome to come along to Holland Park State High School to watch us perform. There is no cost for audience members.
There are a few families with outstanding payments – please contact the office to make payment ASAP.
Please make sure all choir members are practicing their songs in the lead up to this excursion.
Keep an eye out for an e-mail from Andrea Schache, early next week for information about where to meet and what to bring!
Beginner Band Workshop
Each year, students new to the band program are invited to attend the Beginner Band Workshop—a valuable and enjoyable event where students from across the region come together to make music in a supportive and structured setting. The day focuses on building confidence, strengthening musical fundamentals, and experiencing the joy of playing in a large ensemble. This year’s workshop will be held on Wednesday, 25 June at Balmoral State High School. Families are warmly invited to a short performance at 2:15pm.
Consent requests and invoices have been sent home via QParents.
